This release Version 7.2.3 Standard Edition Quick Start delivers improved navigation through centralized Libraries access, enhanced Retention Schedule control and edit visibility, configurable inline editing via admin settings, and a customizable dashboard with drag-and-drop widget rearrangement.
Standard Edition Quick start:
1. Customizable Dashboard:
- Drag and drop functionality is now enabled on the Dashboard.
- Users can:
- Rearrange dashboard widgets as per their preference.
- Customize their dashboard layout easily.
- A Reset to Default option in Manage Widget:
- Clicking this will restore all widgets to their original default positions.
- This enhancement improves dashboard personalization and usability.
2. Libraries Added to Navigation Bar:
A new Libraries option is added to the main navigation bar for centralized, quicker access to categorized library items like Record Classification, Retention Rules, Document Management, and Data Owner.
- On clicking Libraries, a secondary navigation panel expands showing categorized library items:
- Record Classification
- Retention
- Rules
- Document Management
- Document Types
- Document Type Groups
- Data Owner
- This enhancement improves discoverability and quicker access to all library components.
3. Home Icon & Dynamic Tabs on Retention Schedule Page
- A Home icon is now introduced on the Retention Schedule (RS) page.
- The page now supports view-specific dynamic tabs:
- Example: When the user selects Policy View, the Home icon navigates to the RS home for that view.
- Related tabs (such as Record Classification, Retention Rules, Document Management, and Retention Citation) are dynamically displayed based on the selected view.
- This provides better contextual navigation and clarity for users working across different views.
4. Introduction of “Type” Column in Retention Schedule
- A new Type column is introduced in the Retention Schedule page during Edit mode.
- The Type column indicates the status of changes:
- New
- Modified
- Unchanged
- Behavior:
- The Type column appears when the user enters Edit mode.
On Publish, the Type column is hidden.
- On subsequent Edit, the Type column reappears.
- This helps users clearly track changes before publishing.
5. Admin(settings) : Retention Schedule Inline Editing Control
- A new configuration option is added under:
Admin → Settings → Default Content View - Retention Schedule Inline Editing toggle is introduced:
- Enable: Users can edit Retention Schedule content.
- Disable: Retention Schedule page becomes read-only (non-editable).
- This gives administrators better control over content governance and editing permissions.
